Montauk Ventures(“SignalRaven,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SignalRaven platform and website (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Who we are.
SignalRaven is a LinkedIn signal intelligence platform operated by Montauk Ventures We monitor publicly available LinkedIn content, qualify engagement signals through an AI-powered review process, and deliver qualified signals to our customers' existing tools.
Scope of this policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Customers: individuals and organizations that create a SignalRaven account and use the Service.
- Website visitors: individuals who visit zygnal.net.
- Data subjects: individuals whose publicly available professional information may be collected and processed through the Service on behalf of our customers.
Information we collect.
3a. Information you provide directly
When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, company name, LinkedIn company page URL.
- Authentication data: information received through Google OAuth or LinkedIn OAuth when you sign in with these providers. We do not store your Google or LinkedIn passwords.
- Payment information: billing details processed through our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Configuration data: your source selections, ICP settings, signal thresholds, and delivery destination preferences.
- Communications: messages you send to us via email or support channels.
3b. Information collected automatically
When you visit our website or use the Service, we automatically collect:
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, actions taken within the platform.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section §10.
- Analytics data: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website.
3c. Information processed through the Service
In the course of providing the Service, SignalRaven processes publicly available professional information from LinkedIn:
- Professional profile data: name, job title, company name, industry, LinkedIn profile URL.
- Company data: company name, size, industry, headquarters location, specialties.
- Engagement data:public interactions with LinkedIn posts (reactions, comments) on content monitored by our customers' configured sources.
- AI-generated content:signal scores, ICP match scores, talking points, “why now” narratives, and post summaries generated by our AI systems based on the above.
This information is collected from publicly available sources on LinkedIn. We do not access private LinkedIn profiles, private messages, or connection-only content. We do not require or use any individual's LinkedIn login credentials.
How we use information.
4a. Customer and website-visitor data
We use information provided by customers and collected from website visitors to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Create and manage customer accounts.
- Process payments and manage billing.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Communicate with customers about the Service, including updates and support.
- Analyze website usage to improve our website and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4b. Data processed through the Service
We process publicly available professional information through the Service to:
- Monitor publicly available LinkedIn content based on customer-configured sources.
- Qualify engagement signals through our AI-powered review process.
- Enrich professional profiles with publicly available information.
- Score signals for relevance and actionability based on customer-defined ICP criteria.
- Generate talking points and contextual narratives.
- Deliver qualified signals to customer-configured destinations.
Lawful basis for processing (EEA / UK).
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract performance: to provide the Service to our customers.
- Legitimate interest: to process publicly available professional data for B2B sales intelligence. Individuals can object to this processing at any time (see Section §08).
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Consent: where specifically required, such as for certain cookie usage.
Use of artificial intelligence.
SignalRaven uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies as a core part of the Service:
- Signal qualification:AI evaluates posts and engagement for relevance to our customers' markets.
- Profile scoring: AI scores individuals against customer-defined ICP criteria across multiple dimensions.
- Buyer/seller classification: AI classifies individuals as potential buyers or sellers to filter non-relevant contacts.
- Content generation:AI generates talking points, “why now” narratives, and post summaries specific to each qualified signal.
Personal data processed through the Service may be transmitted to third-party AI providers for these functions. Our AI providers process data under contractual terms that prohibit the use of SignalRaven customer data for model training purposes.
AI-generated outputs are provided for informational purposes to assist our customers' sales teams. They do not constitute automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
Individuals may object to AI processing of their data by contacting privacy@zygnal.net.
Your rights.
8a. All users
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Restriction: request that we restrict processing of your personal information.
- Portability: request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw consent at any time.

8b. Data subjects
If your publicly available professional information has been processed through the SignalRaven platform and you would like to request access, deletion, object to processing, or opt out of future processing, contact us at privacy@zygnal.net. We will process your request within 30 days.
8c. EEA and UK residents
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
8d. California residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA:
- Right to know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you in the preceding 12 months.
- Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to opt out: opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. SignalRaven does not sell personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the preceding 12 months. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Data retention.
- Customer account data: retained for the duration of your account and for 30 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted.
- Signal and enrichment data: retained for 30 days, after which it is automatically purged.
- Payment records: retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
- Website analytics data:retained in accordance with our analytics provider's retention policies.
- Data subject requests: retained for 3 years for compliance purposes.
Data security.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS / SSL) and at rest.
- Access controls and authentication requirements for all systems.
- Regular security reviews of infrastructure and application code.
- Data isolation between customer accounts.
Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International data transfers.
SignalRaven is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
For transfers of personal data from the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and/or the UK Information Commissioner's Office, as applicable.
Children's data.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, contact us at privacy@zygnal.net and we will promptly delete it.
Third-party links and services.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services.
When our customers configure signal delivery to third-party destinations, the customer is responsible for ensuring their use of personal data complies with applicable laws.
Changes to this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify customers via email or through the Service. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when the most recent changes were made.
Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
